Hardware fiscal registers — Paloma365 Classic (Windows POS)

This article covers Paloma365 Classic — the Windows POS application. Besides online cash registers (WebKassa and other services), the POS can print fiscal receipts directly on hardware fiscal registers (FR) connected to the POS computer: ШТРИХ (Shtrih), ПОРТ (Port), АТОЛ (ATOL), ЭЛВИС-МИКРО (Elvis Micro) devices and the network-attached iKKM register. Overview: «Тип ФР» modes

The fiscal register mode is selected in the POS local settings: the «Оборудование» (Equipment) tab → «Фискальные принтеры» (Fiscal printers) sub-tab → the «Тип ФР» (Fiscal Register type) selector:

Next to the selector there is a «Тест драйвера» (Driver test) button that checks the connection to the selected device (iKKM has its own «Тест iKKM» button instead, see below). The same tab holds the shared checkboxes «НДС включен на ШТРИХ ФР» (VAT is enabled on the Shtrih FR), «Открывать денежный ящик» (Open cash drawer) and «Автопереключение порта USB-принтера» (USB printer port auto-switching), plus the expandable settings blocks «ФР Атол», «iKKM», «ФР Порт» and «Штрих» — the block of the selected mode is active.

For the POS to print fiscal receipts on a hardware register at all, the point of sale must have the "Use fiscal printer" option enabled in the dashboard. If no «Тип ФР» mode is selected, a fiscal print attempt reports: «Не выбран фискальный принтер для работы!» ("Fiscal printer is not chosen!").

Important: an online register and a hardware fiscal register cannot work at the same time. Enabling any online-register module in the dashboard switches «Тип ФР» to «ФР ONLINE» and locks the selector.

«ФР ШТРИХ» (Shtrih)

Works through the «Штрих-Light-ФР-К» driver (installed with the device drivers). If the driver is missing or broken, the POS reports: «Не удалось загрузить драйвер Штрих-Light-ФР-К» ("Failed to load the Штрих-Light-ФР-К driver").

Settings in the «Штрих» block:

• «Кодовая страница:» (code page) — receipt text encoding: default — 0, Russian — 1, Armenian — 2 or 3, Kazakh — 4, Turkmen — 5.
• «Локаль:» (locale) — 0 — do not change, 1049 — Russian, 1087 — Kazakh, 1088 — Kyrgyz.
• «Тип шрифта:» (font type) and the «Использовать печать со шрифтами» (use font printing) checkbox — print font control.

Mode specifics:

• Both the customer's tax ID (INN) and e-mail are sent to the fiscal receipt (the input window is described in Tax ID and e-mail on the receipt).
• The «НДС включен на ШТРИХ ФР» checkbox enables VAT transfer to the device.
• The «X-Report» and «Z-Report» buttons on the Cash screen are active in this mode — X and Z reports are taken right from the POS.
• The POS is protected from accidentally fiscalizing the same order twice — a duplicate fiscal print is skipped.

«ФР ПОРТ» (Port)

Settings in the «ФР Порт» block: «COM порт:» (COM port), «Скорость:» (speed, default 115200), «Номер оператора:» (operator number), «Номер точки прод.» (point-of-sale number) and «Пароль оператора:» (operator password). Save the changes and check the connection with «Тест драйвера».

Mode specific: the «Z-Report» button on the Cash screen is disabled in this mode — only the X report can be taken manually from the POS. The Z report still prints automatically at shift close if the point has the "Print Z-report on shift close" option enabled (see Shift close and Z-report).

«ФР АТОЛ» (ATOL)

Two driver generations are supported — the switch in the «ФР Атол» block: «ККТ АТОЛ 4.5» and «ККТ АТОЛ 10».

VAT settings:

• For ККТ АТОЛ 4.5 — the «Индекс ставки НДС для ККТ АТОЛ 4.5» (VAT rate index) field and the «ККТ АТОЛ с налогами через секции» (taxes via sections) checkbox.
• For ККТ АТОЛ 10 — the «Ставки НДС для ККТ АТОЛ 10» (VAT rates) list: «Не облагается» (not taxed), «НДС 0%», «НДС 10%», «НДС 18%», «НДС 20%».

Other settings and buttons of the block:

• The «Не закрывать порт» (do not close the port) checkbox (available for ККТ АТОЛ 10) — the POS keeps the connection open between operations.
• The «Аннулировать чек» (Cancel a receipt) and «Закрыть чек» (Close the receipt) buttons — emergency controls: if a receipt is stuck open inside the device, cancel or close it right from the settings.

Mode specifics:

• Mixed payment is impossible: paying an order with several payment types reports «Нельзя оплатить чек смешанным типом оплаты используя ККТ АТОЛ» ("Can not pay using mixed payment type while ККТ АТОЛ is in use").
• Only the customer's e-mail is sent to the fiscal receipt (the tax ID is not transferred to ATOL devices).
• The «Z-Report» button on the Cash screen is disabled in this mode — the Z report is taken at shift close.

ATOL error messages

All messages of this family start with «ККТ АТОЛ» and point to the step that failed. Exact texts (shown in Russian):

With a stuck receipt, start with the «Аннулировать чек» / «Закрыть чек» buttons in the settings, then retry the operation.

«ФР ЭЛВИС-МИКРО» (Elvis Micro)

Elvis Micro-F devices work through the ATOL driver — installation and errors are the same as in the ATOL section. Extra checkboxes in the «ФР Атол» block:

• «Элвис Микро-Ф. Использовать. Без печати содержания» (Elvis Micro-F. Use. Without content printing) — enables the Elvis Micro-F mode.
• «Элвис Микро-Ф. Делить сумму чека на 100» (divide the receipt amount by 100) — enable it if the device expects amounts in hundredths and receipts otherwise come out 100 times larger.

«ФР iKKM»

iKKM is a hardware register connected over the local network — no cable to the computer is needed. Settings in the «iKKM» block:

1. «IP адрес iKKM:» — the device's network address.
2. «API-ключ:» — the key is taken on the device itself: switch the web-kassa off on the iKKM; after that, the "Web-api ключ" appears at the top of the Web-kassa settings — enter it into this field.
3. Press «Тест iKKM». On success the POS reports «Подключение с iKKM успешно установлено!» ("Connection with iKKM was successfully set!") and saves the settings; with empty fields — «Введите ip адрес iKKM устройства!» / «Введите api-ключ iKKM устройства!» ("Enter the iKKM device IP address / api-key!"); on an error it shows the code with an explanation (the full code table is in Fiscal registers and OFD).

Mode specifics:

• Payment is possible only with Cash, Card and Deposit — otherwise: «iKKM: Нельзя оплатить счет другим типом оплаты» (this order cannot be paid with another payment type).
• The «Внешний банковский модуль» (External banking module) checkbox tells the POS that cards are taken by the iKKM's own banking module. With it on, mixed payment is forbidden: «iKKM: Нельзя оплатить счет смешанным типом оплаты с активированным банковским модулем».
• The «Z-Report» button on the Cash screen is disabled in this mode; the fiscal shift is controlled by the device itself (the "shift exceeded 24 hours" / "shift open under another cashier" messages — see the error codes).

Common to all hardware fiscal registers

• Fiscal cash deposits and withdrawals work in every mode — the «Фискальная операция» (Fiscal operation) switch in the cash in/out window (details in Fiscal registers and OFD).
• Customer tax ID and e-mail: Shtrih accepts both the tax ID and the e-mail; ATOL — e-mail only; details in Tax ID and e-mail on the receipt.
• Non-fiscal payment types are not fiscalized on hardware registers either — the receipt prints with the "fiscalization disabled" mark (see Fiscal registers and OFD).
• A fiscal receipt duplicate is not available on hardware registers — a repeated fiscal print is possible only through the WebKassa online register.

Common problems

• «Не выбран фискальный принтер для работы!» ("Fiscal printer is not chosen!") — no «Тип ФР» mode is selected. Open settings → «Оборудование» → «Фискальные принтеры» and pick the mode.
• «Не удалось загрузить драйвер Штрих-Light-ФР-К» / «Не удалось загрузить драйвер AddIn.DrvFR» — the manufacturer's driver (Shtrih or ATOL) is not installed. Install it on the POS computer and rerun «Тест драйвера».
• ATOL connection errors / no response from the device — check the cable, the device power and the driver settings; with a stuck receipt use «Аннулировать чек» / «Закрыть чек».
• iKKM does not respond («Не удается установить соединение с сервером iKKM») — check that the device is on, is in the same network and the IP address is correct; then «Тест iKKM».
• The «Z-Report» button is greyed out. That is normal for the ПОРТ, АТОЛ, ЭЛВИС-МИКРО and iKKM modes — from the Cash screen the Z report is available only with «ФР ШТРИХ» and online registers. The Z report prints at shift close (the point's "Print Z-report on shift close" option) or is taken on the device itself.
• A hardware mode cannot be selected — the selector is locked. An online-register module is enabled in the dashboard: while it is active, the POS works in «ФР ONLINE». Disable the module and restart the POS.
• The cashier does not see the usual payment types in mixed payment. With an active fiscal register, mixed payment offers only Cash, Card and Deposit; on ATOL mixed payment is forbidden entirely.

FAQ

How is a hardware fiscal register different from an online cash register?

A hardware register is a physical device attached to the POS computer (by cable or over the network) that prints the fiscal receipt itself. An online register is a cloud service (WebKassa and others) the POS sends receipts to over the internet. The two cannot be used at the same time.

Where do I get the iKKM API key?

On the iKKM device itself: switch its web-kassa off — after that the "Web-api ключ" appears at the top of the Web-kassa settings. Enter it into the «API-ключ:» field in the POS settings and press «Тест iKKM».

Why is there no customer tax ID on an ATOL receipt?

The POS sends only the customer's e-mail to ATOL devices — the tax ID transfer is not supported. The tax ID on the receipt is available with the Shtrih register and with the WebKassa/KaspiPos online registers.

The device prints amounts 100 times larger (Elvis Micro-F). What do I do?

Enable the «Элвис Микро-Ф. Делить сумму чека на 100» checkbox in the «ФР Атол» block of the fiscal printer settings.

How do I test the connection to the device?

With the «Тест драйвера» (Driver test) button on the «Фискальные принтеры» tab (for iKKM — the «Тест iKKM» button in the iKKM block).
