FAQ
What is the difference between income and expense types?
Income types classify sources of money coming in (e.g. sales revenue, refunds received). Expense types classify where money goes out (e.g. supplier payments, rent, salaries).
Are these types required for financial documents?
Yes. When creating cash income or expense documents, you must select an income/expense type to classify the transaction.
Can I change the type (income/expense) after creation?
It is not recommended, as existing documents may already reference the category with the original type.
