The assembly/disassembly document records the process of combining individual items into kits (assembly) or breaking kits back into individual components (disassembly).

Overview
An assembly document is used when individual items are combined into a single kit or set. A disassembly document reverses the process — breaking a kit into its components. After conducting, stock is adjusted: component items are deducted and the kit is added (assembly), or the kit is deducted and components are added (disassembly).

Step-by-Step Guide
- Go to Warehouse > Assembly/Disassembly.
- Click Add.
- Select the Organization and Warehouse.
- Set the Date.
- Select the Kit Item (parent).
- Add component items with quantities per kit.
- Specify the number of kits to assemble or disassemble.
- Click Save, then Conduct.
FAQ
What is the difference between assembly and disassembly?
Assembly combines components into a kit (components are deducted, kit is added). Disassembly breaks a kit into components (kit is deducted, components are added).
Can I define reusable kit compositions?
Yes. Kit compositions can be pre-configured so that selecting a kit item automatically loads its component list.
What if a component is out of stock?
The system may prevent conducting if the required component quantities are not available on the warehouse.
