Client booking journal — Paloma365 Classic (Windows POS)

This article is about Paloma365 Classic, the POS program for Windows. The "Журнал" (Journal) is a client booking planner: beauty salons and service businesses book a client with an employee for a time slot, table-based venues reserve tables. The Classic interface is in Russian; original UI names are shown in quotes.

Booking calendar

The journal is a day grid titled "ЖУРНАЛ". The columns depend on the POS interface: in the "Салон" (salon) interface they are employees; in the "Кассир" (cashier), "Администратор зала" (hall manager) and "Тарификатор" (rater) interfaces they are tables shown as "[Room]-Table"; other interfaces do not use the journal. Arrows scroll the columns; "Выход" (Exit) closes the journal. Top-panel filters: "Дата:" (date), "Время с:" / "по:" (time range shown — each time the journal opens these default to the outlet's working schedule set in the dashboard), "Клиент:" (type-ahead client filter, up to 60 matches), "Помещение:" (room filter, hidden in salon mode), "Интервал:" (grid step, 5–60 minutes) and "Масштаб:" (row height); the step and scale are remembered. Each booking is a colored block with the client name and note; the color is a visual marker only — there are no built-in statuses.

Entry points: the "Журнал" (Journal) button on the salon sale screen, the "Бронирование" (Reservation) button on the table-based cash screen, and the "Журнал" button in the "Тарификатор" interface. Opening it from the sale or cash screen may ask for the outlet's "Password: Client" (set by the administrator on the "Access" tab of the outlet card; with no password set the journal opens freely — a wrong entry shows "Wrong password!"). The "Тарификатор" entry asks for no password.

Creating a booking

1. Select a free range in a column and press "Создать запись" (Create booking); with nothing selected, the POS suggests the nearest time.
2. Fill in the card: date ("Запись на дату:"), times ("Время с:" / "по:"), "Клиент:" (Customer — type-ahead from the directory; the phone fills "Контактный номер:"). In salon mode choose "Сотрудник:" (Employee), in table mode — "Стол:" (Table). Optionally add "Примечание:" (Note) and a color ("Цвет записи:").
3. Press "Сохранить" (Save). Past dates are rejected; times outside working hours or an end time earlier than the start ask for confirmation ("ПРОДОЛЖИТЬ?"). An end time earlier than the start means the booking ends the next day. These checks run only when creating a booking, not when editing one.
4. Click a booking in the calendar to edit it; the card also has "Удалить" (Delete).
5. "Написать клиенту в WA" opens WhatsApp with a ready confirmation message. If the client has no phone number on file (or no client is selected), the button silently does nothing.

Booking and the order

A booking is planning only: it does not create an order (bill) and no order opens from the booking card. When the client arrives, open the order as usual — "Новый счет" (New order) or a table — and attach the client manually (F2 or by card code); see Sales and orders. The journal uses the same client directory as the sales screen (Clients and discounts). For table reservations the POS shows pop-up reminders on the booking day, checked roughly every 10 minutes; they work only when the POS is connected to the main database (not in offline mode), only in the hall manager interface, and only for bookings with a table — salon bookings on an employee produce no reminders.

Common problems

• "Не выбран клиент..." / "Не выбран сотрудник..." / "Не выбран столик..." — client / employee / table not selected; the client must exist in the directory.
• "Дата создания записи, меньше текущей даты..." — the booking date is in the past.
• "Время начала записи, меньше текущего времени..." — the start time has already passed today.
• "Время начала записи, меньше времени начала работы... ПРОДОЛЖИТЬ?" / "Время начала записи, больше времени окончания работы... ПРОДОЛЖИТЬ?" / "Время окончания записи, больше времени окончания работы... ПРОДОЛЖИТЬ?" — the booking falls outside the outlet's working hours; confirm to save anyway.
• "Время окончания записи, больше времени начала записи... ПРОДОЛЖИТЬ?" — despite the wording, this warns that the end time is earlier than the start; confirming saves it as an overnight booking ending the next day.
• The POS asks for a password on opening the journal — the outlet's "Password: Client" is set (the "Access" tab of the outlet card); a wrong entry shows "Wrong password!".
• Booking not visible — check the date, time range, client and room filters; scroll the columns.

FAQ

Does a booking create an order automatically?

No — it only reserves the time; the cashier opens the order in the usual way.

What does the booking color mean?

It is only a visual marker; agree within your team what each color stands for.
