Modifiers are add-ons or customizations that can be applied to menu items, such as extra toppings, size upgrades, or preparation preferences.

How to Access

Navigate to: Sidebar > POS > Modifiers

Route: /warehouse/guides/s_modifier

Quick actions:

Overview

Modifiers allow customers to customize their orders — for example, "Extra cheese", "Large size", or "No onions". Each modifier can have its own price and belongs to a modifier group. When a cashier selects an item on the POS terminal, available modifiers are presented for selection.

Step-by-Step Guide

1. Go to POS > Modifiers.
2. Click Add to create a new modifier.
3. Enter a Name (e.g., "Extra Cheese", "Double Shot").
4. Set the Price if there is an additional charge.
5. Assign it to a Group (e.g., "Toppings", "Size").
6. Click Save.

Can modifiers have a zero price?

Yes. Modifiers like "No onions" or "Well done" are customization preferences with no extra charge.

How are modifier groups used?

Groups organize modifiers by type. On the POS terminal, groups determine how modifiers are presented — for example, "Choose your size" or "Select toppings".

Can I require a modifier selection?

This depends on the item and group configuration. Some groups can be set as mandatory, requiring the cashier to choose at least one option.
