Online payment for QR orders

Configure how guests pay for orders placed through the QR menu (pickup, delivery, and table ordering). You choose one of two payment methods: pay on receipt, or online payment via Halyk QR.

How to Access

1. Open Apps > QR Menu and find the Online ordering card.
2. The payment method is set in the Online payment dropdown.

Halyk QR credentials are entered separately, under POS > Payment devices (see below).

Overview

When online ordering is enabled, the guest places an order right in the QR menu. The payment method you choose determines what happens after they place it:

• with Pay on receipt, the order is placed immediately and the guest pays at the register, at the counter, or to the courier;
• with Halyk QR, after placing the order the guest is shown a QR code to pay through their bank app, and the order is treated as paid online.

Payment options

Step-by-Step Guide

Pay on receipt

1. Open Apps > QR Menu, the Online ordering card.
2. In the Online payment dropdown, choose Pay on receipt.
3. Click Save.

No extra credentials are needed — the guest pays for the order on receipt.

Halyk QR (Kazakhstan)

First add a payment device with the Halyk QR provider:

1. Go to POS > Payment devices.
2. Click Add and choose the Halyk QR provider.
3. Enter the credentials you received from Halyk Bank: clientId, clientSecret, terminalId, pointOfSale, and merchantName.
4. Click Save.

Then enable this payment method for online orders:

5. Open Apps > QR Menu, the Online ordering card.
6. In the Online payment dropdown, choose Halyk QR.
7. Click Save.

Now, when a guest places an online order, they will be shown a QR code to pay through their bank app.

FAQ

How does "Pay on receipt" differ from "Halyk QR"?

With Pay on receipt, the guest pays on the spot — the money goes through the register or the courier, with no online payment step. With Halyk QR, the guest pays online right after placing the order, by scanning the QR code shown to them in their bank app.

Is Halyk QR available outside Kazakhstan?

No. Halyk QR works only for accounts in Kazakhstan. Elsewhere, use Pay on receipt.

Where do I get the Halyk QR credentials?

The credentials (clientId, clientSecret, terminalId, pointOfSale, merchantName) are issued by Halyk Bank when you sign up. Enter them under POS > Payment devices by choosing the Halyk QR provider.

Can I change the payment method?

Yes. Open the Online ordering card, pick a different option in the Online payment dropdown, and save. The change applies to new orders.
