VAT (NDS) types define the tax rates applied to items and documents. Each type specifies a tax rate percentage. These are used when generating invoices, receipts, and tax-related reports to ensure correct tax calculations.

Step-by-Step Guide

Adding a Tax/Fee Type

  1. Go to Guides > Taxes and Fees.
  2. Click Add.
  3. Enter the Name (e.g. "VAT 12%", "VAT Exempt", "VAT 0%").
  4. Enter the Value percentage (e.g. 12, 0).
  5. Select the Type — Tax or Fee.
  6. Select the Action Type — choose "Included in cost" if the price already includes the tax, or "Increases cost" if the tax should be added on top of the price.
  7. Click Save.

Common VAT Types for Kazakhstan

  • VAT 12% — standard rate
  • VAT 0% — zero-rated supplies (exports)
  • VAT Exempt — exempt from VAT
